1 JOHN 3:1-3 – THREE CONSIDERATIONS
CONSIDER THE LOVE OF GOD – 1 John 3:1 – God has loved us so much that he has declared us to be His children if we know Christ as Savior (John 1:12-13). That amount of love is simply amazing! Because the world did not know Christ (John 1:10-11) the world will not know, or understand us either.
CONSIDER THE LOOK AT CHRIST – 1 John 3:2 – We are the children of God right now! There will be a day however when we will see Christ face to face and be like Him! We will see him as he is! Romans 8:29
CONSIDER THE LIFE OF PURITY – 1 John 3:3 – Because we are looking forward to being like him in the future, we should purify our lives now! See Titus 2:11-15
