ACTS 1:12-26 – MOVING FORWARD
Jesus had gone to Heaven but before leaving told the Apostles to wait in Jerusalem for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:1-13)
While the Apostles waited they moved forward to take care of some “unfinished business”.
THEY WERE IN AGREEMENT – Acts 1:14 – They were united in one place.
THEY WERE ASKING – Acts 1:14 – They were praying.
THEY WERE MADE AWARE OF SCRIPTURE – Acts 1:15-20 – Peter reminded them of the failure of Judas and the teaching of Scripture concerning a replacement.
THEY WERE ADVISED – Acts 1:21-22 – It was suggested that another be appointed to replace Judas.
THEY WERE ACTING IN FAITH – Acts 1:23-26 – They simply acted on what the Word of God told them to do.
