WONDERS IN CHRIST
Jeremiah 31:3 – The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: Therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 13:1 – Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
Romans 8:38 – For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Ephesians 2:4-5 – But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Just a few verses, that tell us that God loves us. As we sang earlier – “The Wonder of it all just to think that God loves me.” I got to thinking about the wonders that God has bestowed upon us in Christ. Here are some of them:
IT’S A WONDER THAT GOD CHOSE US – Ephesians 1:3-6
IT’S A WONDER JESUS CAME – Philippians 2:5-7
IT’S A WONDER JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED – Philippians 2:8, Ephesians 1:7
IT’S A WONDER THAT HE CONQUERED DEATH – Philippians 2:9-11
ITS’ A WONDER WE CAN BE CONVERTED – Ephesians 2:8-10 – Salvation is a gift because Jesus paid for it. It can’t be earned. Good works after salvation proves conversion.
IT’S A WONDER WE HAVE COMMUNION
- With Jesus – Philippians 3:10-14
- With Each Other – 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
IT’S A WONDER THAT HE’S COMING FOR US – Philippians 3:20-21
