Psalm 119:11 – USE THIS VERSE!
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Talk to the average Christian, and you will find that he or she claims to have great respect and love for the Word of God. The best way to prove that we have great respect and love for God’s Word is to obey it! Psalm 119:11 is a great verse and often quoted. However, to best honor God we must make this verse real in our lives! We must use it!
THE SEED – Thy word… See Mark 4:14.
THE SOIL – …my heart… See Mark 4:15-20.
As I suggested in another outline, there are four kinds of hearts mentioned in Mark’s Gospel.
A deceived heart – Vs. 15
A disturbed heart – Vss. 16-17
A distracted heart – Vss. 18-19
A discerning heart – Vs. 20
THE SECRET – …have I hid… – Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:1-3
THE SUCCESS – …that I might not sin against thee.
See Matthew 4:1-11 – The Lord quoted Scripture to refute the devil.
We will sin less as we memorize, meditate upon, and obey God’s Word.
