SILENT HEROES – VALIANT MEN NEVER QUOTED IN SCRIPTURE

The Bible tells of many faithful men and women who are never quoted in the Bible, but their actions speak louder than words.

JOSEPH FATHER OF JESUS – OBEDIENT! – Matthew 1:18-2:22

When God spoke to Joseph, he believed and obeyed!

LAZARUS – LIVING TESTIMONY! – John 11:38-45, John 12:9-11

The risen Lazarus was a living testimony of the power and identity of Jesus. This caused many to believe on Jesus. Our lives also should be living testimonies, not only in word, but also in deed! Matthew 5:14-16

SIMON OF CYRENE – DRAFTED, BUT FAITHFUL! – Mark 5:15-21

Simon was drafted into carrying Jesus’ cross. He served well, and evidently became a believer.

JOSEPH OF ARIMATHEA – UNASHAMED! – John 12:38-42, Mark 12:42-47

Joseph was a silent disciple, but when it counted he “took courage” and asked for the body of Jesus, thus identifying him with his Lord.
