Psalm 119:59-63 – RECIPE FOR JOY

REFLECT – Vs. 59a – I thought on my ways,

Self-examination is key to being right with God.  We must be honest about the condition of our hearts.

REPENT – Vss. 59b-60 – and turned my feet unto thy testimonies. I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

When we turn away from sin, we will confess it and receive forgiveness. 1 John 1:9

We will strive to be obedient to God’s word.

REMEMBER -Vs. 61 The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law.

In spite of the hardships that we face as we walk with God (Psalm 34:19, 1I Timothy 3:12).

REJOICE – Vs. 62 –At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.

RECRUIT – Vs. 63 I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.

Recruit friends who are of like faith.
