GOD MOVED A KING – Vss. 1-2
Cyrus was moved by God to call for the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem.
GOD MOTIVATED A PEOPLE – Vss. 3, 5
There were those who were motivated to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple.
GOD MADE A PROVISION – Vss. 4, 6-11
The people who didn’t go gave to the work. Cyrus himself made donations.
Think of this as a picture of God’s plan for missions.
GOD MOVED A KING – JESUS
Jesus gave the Great Commission. Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15
GOD MOTIVATES A PEOPLE – MISSIONARIES
Missionaries have responded to the King’s call for workers.
GOD MAKES A PROVISION – SUPPORT
Those who do not go to the mission field can support the work of the missionaries that do.
