Daniel 2:1-28 – LEANING ON GOD

Daniel and his three friends, Shadrach, Meshack, and Abednego were in a tough position. They would have been executed, if God did not help them. In a real way, they learned to lean on God (Proverbs 3:5-6)

DREAM OF NEBUCHADNEZZAR – Vss. 1-3

He had a troubling dream.

DEMAND FOR INFORMATION – Vss. 4-13

Nebuchadnezzar not only wanted to know the interpretation of the dream, but the dream itself. The wise men of Babylon were unable to do this, and were sentenced to die.

DEPENDENCE ON GOD – Vss. 14-18

Daniel got a delay in the execution date in order to pray. He and his friends depended on God to reveal the dream and the interpretation.

DESCRIPTION FROM GOD – Vss. 19-23

God revealed the dream and its interpretation to Daniel. Daniel showed his appreciation.

DECLARATION FROM DANIEL – Vss. 24-28

Daniel declared to the king that his wise men could not reveal the dream and its interpretation. He also declared that there was a God in Heaven who would reveal the secrets of the dream.
