JOB 19:25-27 – KNOW WHAT JOB KNEW – A FUNERAL MESSAGE FOR A BELIEVER

Psalms 116:15 – Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

Although (NAME OF PERSON) has left her body, his/her spirit has moved to Heaven.  Based on her profession of faith in Christ, she is in Heaven.

2 Corinthians 5:8 – We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Is this the end for Charlotte’s body?  Is it the end for your body when you are buried like Charlotte. No!

A man by the name of Job who suffered much in his earthly body had this to say:

Job 19:25-27 – For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

Would you like to see Charlotte again?  Then you need to know three things that Job knew.

KNOW THAT YOU HAVE A LIVING REDEEMER

KNOW THAT THERE IS A SURE RETURN

KNOW THAT THERE IS A CERTAIN RESURRECTION

KNOW THAT YOU HAVE A LIVING REDEEMER

For I know that my redeemer liveth,

I am going to be blunt.  You need a redeemer because you are a sinner!  A sinner is anyone who has done anything that displeases God. We all qualify.

Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Ezekiel 18:4 – Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

You have sinned against God.  You owe Him big time!  Somebody has to pay for your sins, and that somebody is you, unless of course, there is a redeemer, someone who could pay for your sins for you.

THERE IS A REDEEMER!  It is Jesus, God the Son!

Romans 5:6-8 – For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

And the good news is that Jesus is a living redeemer.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 – For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Jesus arose from the dead.  Charlotte had a living redeemer. Do you?

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

You must place your faith in Christ to have a living redeemer. He will forgive you and give you everlasting life. He will also change your life now!

2 Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

KNOW THAT YOU HAVE A LIVING REDEEMER

KNOW THAT THERE IS A SURE RETURN

For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

There is a day that Jesus will return. He will return for His people, and shortly after that he will return to be the World’s King. He is the Messiah!

John 14:2-3 – In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Jesus is God! He has promised His return. He will return.

Zechariah 14:9 – And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

KNOW THAT YOU HAVE A LIVING REDEEMER

KNOW THAT THERE IS A SURE RETURN

KNOW THAT THERE IS A CERTAIN RESURRECTION

For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

If you die, your body will start to decompose. But Job knew that because He had a living redeemer who would one day stand on the earth, that he too would see Him and have a resurrection body!

1 Corinthians 15:51-57 – Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

There is a certain resurrection!  But, I must give you a solemn warning. Only those who have a living redeemer the Lord Jesus Christ will enjoy the resurrection.

John 3:36 – He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

(NAME OF PERSON) had a living redeemer.  Will you join him/her in knowing the things that he/she knew?
