2 SAMUEL 7 – KING DAVID LEARNS ABOUT CHRISTMAS
Yesterday was “Christmas on Main”. Thanks to those who helped! One of the purposes of our outreach was to share the real meaning of Christmas with those who might not know.
When Jesus was born there were several people who learned the real meaning of Christmas.
- Mary and Joseph
- Zacharias and Elizabeth
- The Shepherds and those they told
- The Wise Men
- Simeon
- Anna
There were a couple of Old Testament Prophets who were told about Christmas
Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6, Micah 5:2
Recently, it dawned on me that, King David, of all people learned something about Christmas. He didn’t learn a lot of detail, but he learned enough to have great hope.
