Judges 10:6-16 – GOD’S RESPONSES
How do you respond to a gift?
How do you respond to bad news?
How do you respond to a kind word or deed?
How do you respond to good news?
We do not always respond to situations in the same way, however, we do respond. As we see in our text, God chooses to respond to certain conditions and circumstances certain ways. Please remember that our responses are not always the right responses. God’s response is always the right response, because He is God, and He is righteous.
GOD’S RESPONSE TO REBELLION IS CHASTISEMENT Vss. 6-10

GOD’S RESPONSE TO REGRET IS CONFRONTATION Vss. 11-14
Israel was sorry, by not repentant. Israel “regretted” her sin, so God confronted her with her sin. He confronted her so that she would sincerely repent.
GOD’S RESPONSE TO REPENTANCE IS COMPASSION Vss. 15-16
Israel repented and now God was grieved for Israel’s misery. Deliverance followed through Jephthah’s leadership in Judges 11
