PSALM 139:1-14 – GOD’S AWESOME PRESENCE or THE AWESOME PRESENCE OF GOD
Awe – “a feeling of reverential respect mixed with fear or wonder.” Goggle Definitions
1 Chronicles 29:11 – Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.
Hebrews 12:28–29 – Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.
Malachi 2:5 – My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name. (The word “afraid” here, means to be “in awe of”.)
Based on Psalm 139:1-14, I want to share with you the reality of God’s awesome presence. The goal is that it would leave us in awe!
