2 Chronicles 16 – FALTERING AT THE FINISH LINE
King Asa had lived a good, Godly life and had seen God work many victories. 2 Chronicles, 14,15
However, as he got closer to finishing His life victoriously he faltered.
HUMAN RESOURCEFULNESS – Vss. 1-6
Instead of relying on God, as he had in the past, Asa hired soldiers to give him victory.
DIVINE REBUKE – Vss. 7-9
God sent the prophet Hanani to rebuke Asa.
ANGRY REACTION – Vss. 10-11
Instead of turning to God in repentance, Asa became angry with God’s prophet and threw him into jail.
STUBBORN REFUSAL – Vs. 12
Asa did not call on God when he had diseased feet. He relied on his physicians instead.
