JEREMIAH 31:3 – DRAWN BY LOVE

Jeremiah 31:3 – The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

  • A little girl is suddenly frightened, and in fear, runs into her daddy’s outstretched arms. Daddy draws her in and holds her tight. That’s love.
  • A man gets a call from the daughter of a close friend, “Daddy is gone!” He died suddenly and unexpectedly. The man and wife hurry to the home and he is met by that daughter. She comes close in tears and he draws her in and cries with her. That’s love!
  • A brother and sister are separated from each other for years and are joyfully reunited. They draw each other close with laughter and tears. That’s love.
  • A friend calls another friend with a serious problem. Although they are miles apart the friend called draws the other close by listening and prayer with that person. That’s love!
  • A family in a church loses a loved one. The rest of the church draws them close, doing everything they can to help and support. That’s love!

In Jeremiah 31:3, God is talking to Israel, but this verse is draw for us! God draws people to Himself through the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord Jesus drew people to Himself when he walked this earth. He still does. Who are some the people he draws today? The same types of people He drew to Himself back then.
