LUKE 2:41-52 – CHILD PRODIGY
According to this Scripture, we would have to call the Lord Jesus Christ the greatest child prodigy of all time. Many excel as children, but no one excelled like the Son of God. This is the only story we have about Jesus’ childhood after his trip to Egypt as a small child.
We can “wonder” at Him as we consider:
THE WONDER THAT HE WAS MISSING – Luke 2:41-45 – Jesus was the perfect child, and the last one we would expect to be missing. Remember though, He did nothing wrong. He was sinless. 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 2:22
WONDER AT HIS MISSION – Luke 2:46-50 – Jesus knew His mission from a very early age and made His priority pleasing His Father. John 4:36
WONDER AT HIS MATURATION – Luke 2:51-52 – Jesus matured better than any other person that ever lived, but He still had to grow.
